About the exercises
 

The grammar exercises are of two kinds, multiple choice (mc) and fill in exercises. Every exercise consists of twenty sentences.

Multiple choice:

By default, the "leave out" option is checked. This is not an alternative, so make sure you check another option before looking at the result of your exercise.

Checking results:

Although it is possible to check the result after every sentence, the exercise is meant to be checked after completion of all the sentences. When choosing the last alternative you will also have the option of seeing the incorrect replies. 

Fill in:

To avoid unnecessary mistakes keep in mind the following:

• Start typing at the beginning of the box.
• Only capital letter if required, e.g. at beginning of sentence.
• Avoid extra spaces (if there is an extra space you will need to click twice on check result).
• Normally only one reply is accepted. There are however a limited number of exercises where alternative answers are accepted, e.g. colour/color as in BrE and AmE spelling.

Checking results:

These exercises can be checked either after each completed box or at the end of the exercise. When choosing the last alternative you will also have the option of seeing the incorrect replies.
